Western Power - Pole and Line Faults and Incidents

The following proceedure is recommended to provide the fastest access to Western Power for fire related issues.

1. Collect data concerning power pole or line faults. Pole Number or Pole PIC ID number.
Location of Pole - nearest Road and Cross Road.
GPS location if available.
2. Description of problem/fault. Number of poles affected.
Lines on ground.
3. Details of request being made. eg Power isolated on line.
4. Ground contact details for Western Power Linesmen. Name of contact on ground (eg Fire Control Officer).
Mobile number or location that nominated person can be found.
5. Contact FESA. Contact FESA Great Southern Regional Duty Officer on 9845 5000 and report fire/incident. Pass along details as described above. FESA, through the comcentre in Perth, have a direct line with the Western Power State Duty Officer who can program this work immediately as other commitments allow. A Western Power Representative will then ring the nominated contact person with and ETA.

Refueling of Trucks

DRIVERS: When returning trucks to the shed please make sure they are at least 3/4 full of fuel

In Our Area

Lower King Store Drivers of the Kalgan trucks may now purchase fuel for them at the Lower King Store. Please make sure the vehicle designation (eg 1.4, light tanker etc) is recorded on the docket and the docket is signed by the driver. The fuel goes on the Kalgan Volunteer Bushfire Brigade FUEL account.
